Tony Chapman BSc MBA PhD
Tony is Managing Director and an executive coach with the Executive Coaching Centre which he established in 1996. He has worked in the field of leadership development for over 15 years.
Tony’s experience includes manufacturing management with Unilever in Germany and the UK, management education and development as a member of faculty at Cranfield University Business School (C.I.T) and Executive Director of a management consultancy in the Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. From Hong Kong he moved back to the UK to lead PDI as Vice-President and Managing Director of Europe, responsible for operations in London, Brussels, Paris and Stockholm.
Tony has led large-scale change programmes (Ford of Europe and Rolls-Royce) as well as team and individual development processes. Current clients include: UBS Investment Bank, Hasbro Inc, Rolls-Royce plc, Sophos plc, Vodafone, Computacenter, TechData, RPA/DEFRA (a UK Government Department) and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).
Tony lives in Bedford, UK and is married with 3 children and therefore has no real hobbies - although he has recently published, with colleagues, his first coaching book “Executive Coaching: Exploding the Myths”, by Chapman, Best and Van Casteren published by Palgrave-Macmillan (April/May 2003). He is now working on his second book “Frogs Can Fly: A Study of Successful Business Transition” to be published in 2006.
