Doug Henderson BSc PhD

Doug Henderson is a team development coach with ECC. He has worked with Tony Chapman for almost 20 years. Doug has built up a breadth of experience in leadership and management development with a broad range of business organisations.

Doug graduated with a Ph.D. from Manchester University (England) in 1986 and worked initially in the academic world. For over 10 years he has designed and delivered tailored development processes aimed at improving a range of managerial and leadership competences. He retains a keen interest in the use of the outdoors to promote individuals’ personal development.

Doug has worked with Rolls-Royce, Ford of Europe, 3COM, Associated Newspapers, BAT, BNFL, Caterpillar, Commercial Union, Cranfield School of Management (CIT), Henley Management College, Hitachi Capital, M&G Investment Management, Prudential Investment Management and Vodafone.

Doug is currently involved in a research project looking at the competences of effective team leaders in manufacturing businesses. Aside from his training work Doug enjoys the outdoors for pleasure and relaxation. He also enjoys reading, listening to music and trying to keep up to date with modern computer technology. He is married with 2 daughters and lives in the English Lake District.
