Executive Assessment

Appointing the right person into a key post constitutes one of the most critical business decisions made in any organisation. The impact of an effective leader can be transformational whilst the wrong hire can potentially damage significantly business performance, morale and reputation.

The quality of hiring decisions is dependent on three things:
1. Clarity about what is required
2. Comprehensive information about each candidate’s attributes
3. Objective evaluation of this information against the key criteria

ECC’s assessment practice focuses on delivery in these three areas.

ECC works with its client organisations to refine job descriptions and person specifications in the context of strategic aims and company culture and team fit.

At the assessment stage, ECC employs well-proven and rigorous techniques to gather information about candidates in relation to the key criteria. ECC can manage this part of the process as an independent agent or by partnering with in-house assessment specialists or line managers keen to be involved fully in the assessment process.

At the decision point ECC works closely with the hiring team to explore the data about candidates and their potential fit with the job, the team and the organisation.

This work is carried out by individuals with 20+ years experience of managerial and executive appointments in a wide variety of roles and sectors. They bring an understanding of the complexity of hiring decisions, the need for clear unambiguous information about candidates and the importance of cultural fit in addition to high levels of competence.

ECC has worked on assessment assignments with Bausch & Lomb, Cargill, Levi-Strauss, Marsh Group and Pepsico
