ECC Leadership Development

David Crookes leads the Leadership Development practice area supported by Ben Thompson-McCausland .

The programme aims to build Leadership capability and team productivity in client organisations. Whilst broadly based on ideas derived from the work of Peter Senge, it is a customised programme, incorporating the client corporate context.

Our approach to building leadership capability is based on a belief that effective leadership employs skills which achieve alignment in organisational systems, structures, processes and people.

The programme addresses three main areas:

  1. Visionary Leadership – leaders experience a process of building shared vision; developing a collaborative work team; and leading systemic change in their organisation.
  2. Team Alignment – a series of facilitated working sessions in which a leader and team are taken through a structured six step process to define mission, vision, current reality and the actions needed to achieve transformational improvement.
  3. Systems Thinking – this part of the programme addresses problem definition and intervention and has been extremely effective in enabling teams to accurately define the nature of their systemic problems and to resolve them, thereby increasing organisational productivity.

David has achieved remarkable results with corporate clients applying the approach described above. These results have been the most productive in his twenty years experience of leadership & team development. One corporate client company, a global oil company, achieved a 15% increase in the productivity of a $40 million asset as a result of applying learning form the above programme.
